Both murder mysteries will already be well known to Sherlock Holmes fans. Indeed the plays were first performed in Ashbourne some three years ago to enthusiastic and knowledgeable audiences. These plays are being repeated as a tribute to local resident Andrew Bleach whose untimely death earlier this year has left an irreplaceable void within the Players. Andrew was integral to the group and gave one of his finest performances in the original production of these two plays.
The Players aim to recreate as authentic an atmosphere as possible and to this end the audience will be transported back to a radio theatre of 40’s vintage. Period costumes, live sound effects and live musical interludes all add to the atmosphere.
Peakland Players are proud to present two 1940’s style radio plays
