Arts office. Places on this workshop are limited and early

booking is advised.

 

 

 

Ashbourne-based jewellery specialist CW Sellors is offering the chance to work alongside their award-winning team of accomplished craftsmen to learn the skills behind jewellery-making and create a piece of Derbyshire Blue John jewellery to take home. This one day workshop will provide one to one hands-on training in traditional jewellery making techniques, stage by stage.

 

After choosing their preferred design, the morning session will take attendees through metal workshop processes, from soldering, filing, drilling, shaping and polishing using a combination of traditional skills with new technology. The afternoon will then resume in the stone workshop where attendees will individually hand-select their piece of Blue John gemstone and proceed to then cut, set and polish the stone to create their final piece of jewellery. A unique experience not to be missed!
